These are workable looping GIFs that are portions of what I hope will be a more complete GIF. This poor Chrome-face robot officer from THX1138 is having problems dancing with the wall. <\/p>\n

Due to a slight adjustment of the camera angle during filming, Chrome-face’s feet aren’t fully visible at the beginning of the shot, but they are<\/em> visible at the end. Looping the full set of frames emphasizes the camera shift at the jump. Gonna see if good old photoshop can help fix that without any messy visual artifacts. That’s the goal for the final GIF. <\/p>\n

Next step — a frame freed of Officer Chrome-Face (composited to provide constant high and low borders from the frames shared in the preceding GIF.<\/p><\/div>\n

This image will be used as a mask to provide a constant frame of reference, with vertical adjustments within the mask to minimize the perception that the image tilt exists. I’m concerned about introducing non-existing movements of the background in fiddling with the frame alignment — but I’m going to try… Worst case scenario, I’ll post the full sequence as-is with the visible tilt\/jump in place. But first, I’m hoping to be able to resolve it. <\/p>\n
