People can hear you sing.<\/h4>\n<p>Just released today.<em> Just in case you haven&#8217;t seen and heard it yet.<\/em> Or in case want to see it again. (You do!)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chris Hadfield<\/strong> (<a title=\"Commander Chris Hadfield, astronaut, on Twitter\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/cmdr_Hadfield\" target=\"_blank\">@cmdr_Hadfield<\/a>), Canadian astronaut with guitar, and <strong>Ed Robertson<\/strong> (<a title=\"Ed Robertson, on Twitter\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/barenakedladies\/\">@barenakedladies<\/a>), together with the Wexford Gleeks, a youth choir from the Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts, perform &#8220;I.S.S. (Is Somebody Singing)&#8221;. Commander Hadfield has been in space, aboard the International Space Station, while he and Ed Robertson composed and performed the song.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/music.cbc.ca\/embedded\/concerts\/Chris-Hadfield-and-Barenaked-Ladies-ISS-Is-Somebody-Singing-2013-02-05\/videos\/Chris-Hadfield-and-Barenaked-Ladies-ISS-Is-Somebody-Singing\" height=\"373\" width=\"620\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>Celestial.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Chris Hadfield had already played <a title=\"Voyager, the Six-String Nation Guitar\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sixstringnation.com\" target=\"_blank\">Voyager, the Six-String Nation Guitar<\/a>, when I had my opportunity last August at <a title=\"Unplugd12, on Unplugd.ca\" href=\"http:\/\/unplugd.ca\/unplugd12\/\" target=\"_blank\">Unplug&#8217;d12<\/a>. It is a wonderful pleasure to hear <a title=\"Jowi Taylor, @sixstringnation, on Twitter\" href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/sixstringnation\" target=\"_blank\">Jowi Taylor<\/a>, the force behind the project, share the story of the the guitar, the people it represents, the people who have played it, <em>and the stories that they have shared.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sure that Ed Robertson has also played Voyager, and so <em>that makes three of us now<\/em>, <em>along with over 150,000 Canadians<\/em> who have also had the opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>What is it they say about the six-degrees of separation decreasing to something more like four in this connected age?<\/p>\n<p>As I ponder \u00a0historical voyageurs, travel, and space probes, I can&#8217;t help but think of how the even just the name Voyager \u00a0spans communities, history, time, and space. \u00a0Stories of journeys. Pieces of history, travelling.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rock(et) on, Chris! \u00a0 \u00a0 And Rock on, Ed!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>And so another story enhances \u00a0our connection and deepens our shared understanding<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The answer is definitely yes.
