A BREATH of FRESH AIR for You and Your Students: Free K-8 Spring Teacher Support Program
Description:
Fatigue getting you and your students down? Let us help you this spring!
Engage your students in exciting and authentic learning tasks this spring, but without all the extra work. Come learn about the free program of teacher support and student activities the Kids’ Guide to Canada project is offering elementary teachers across Canada again this spring.
Sixteen ready-to-go spring lessons and class activities will be provided at the Kindergarten, Grade 1-3, 4-6, or 7-8 levels to help students achieve Literacy, Social Studies/Geography/History, and Media Literacy curriculum expectations – all while getting outdoors, and having some fun! These activities are designed to help students investigate their local neighbourhood first-hand, and then publish what they’ve learned on the Kids’ Guide to Canada interactive map, created BY kids, and FOR kids. And new this spring – opportunities will be offered to participate in online lessons and class meet-ups!
All activities are optional, available in French and English, and designed for both virtual and in-person learning.
Allow us to lighten your workload this spring. Learn how you can connect with like-minded teachers from across Canada for a few sessions of fun and support, and how we can help you close out the year with fun and memorable learning experiences for your students.
* For K-8 Teachers, all skill levels, both virtual and in-person classes
